Man United table £25m offer to make 29-year-old their first winter signing

Manchester United have tabled a £25million offer to sign forward Alexis Sanchez from North London side Arsenal this month, as per reports.
According to British media reports, the Red Devils have tabled a £25million bid to complete the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal as they attempt to try and hijack his proposed transfer to Manchester City.
The Guardian is claiming that Manchester United are hoping to seal the signing of the Chilean international this month as Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his team in the mid-year transfer window.
The same article, though, says that the Etihad gianst have agreed personal terms with Alexis Sanchez on a deal worth about£250,000-weekly.
It is suggested in the same report that Man City lodged a £20million offer for Alexis Sanchez last week but the Gunners are yet to respond to their English Premier League rivals.
The report also claims that the Red Devils are prepared to let Armenian international attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave the Manchester club to join North London giants Arsenal as part of the swap deal, although his wage demand of about £200,000-weekly could be a major stumbling block.
The future of Chilean international forward Alexis Sanchez has been a relentless source of rumour recently after he entered into the last couple of months of his deal at The Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the former FC Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez could be in action for Arsenal when they return to English Premier League duty with a trip to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday.
